I see a lot of potential for exploring different voting methods using this game. Instead of the classic majority rules for making news laws and picking options, a class could, over the course of a number of sessions, explore how ranked ballot, first past the post, authoritarian rule, various proportional representation systems, gerrymandering and other voting methods could impact the voting for the issues.

This is a great point - of course, classrooms seem to default to using simple majority, but that certainly isn't the only system we can explore. Do you have any preliminary ideas on how this might be done, or is this something that is currently only an idea?
I would really like to see this explored, and if you end up testing it out, or develop any resources, let me know. I'd love to add them to my collection of resources on NationStates in Education (with credit to you, of course!)
